Rambo III

Living quietly at a monastery in Thailand, a former soldier is asked to join a secret mission in Afghanistan but declines. When his friend and mentor is captured, he returns to combat, joining local fighters in a dangerous attempt to rescue him.

My take

You’ll probably enjoy it if you want oversized 1980s action, muscular heroics, and frequent explosions, but Not for you if you prefer grounded drama, subtle characters, or the tension of Missing in Action.
