A military officer goes absent without leave to enter a secret, outlawed martial-arts tournament. As fighters from different styles face off, he must rely on discipline, training, and determination to survive the competition and pursue a personal mission.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like straightforward tournament action, colorful fighters, and ’80s martial-arts excess; Not for you if you need realistic storytelling, subtle performances, or a complex plot.
