Commando

A retired commando is forced back into action when his young daughter is kidnapped. Refusing to follow his captors’ demands, he launches a relentless rescue mission, battling criminals, former allies, and a heavily armed private force with help from an unlikely companion.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you want fast, exaggerated 1980s action, huge set pieces, tough-guy humor, and a simple rescue mission; Not for you if you prefer realism, subtle drama, or restrained violence.
