Rambo

Living quietly in Thailand, a hardened former soldier agrees to transport Christian aid workers into war-torn Myanmar. When the group is kidnapped by a brutal local military unit, he joins a team of mercenaries on a dangerous rescue mission that forces him back into the violence he tried to leave behind.

My take

You’ll like this if you want a fast, grim, brutally violent rescue thriller with a reluctant action hero, but Not for you if graphic atrocities, simple storytelling, or films like The Expendables feel excessive.
