Wuthering Heights

An orphan joins a wealthy family and forms an intense bond with his foster sister. Their love is strained by social expectations when she marries a prosperous man, prompting him to pursue her while confronting resentment, class divisions, and the consequences of their choices.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you favor intense, tragic period romances with brooding characters and emotional conflict; Not for you if you want a straightforward, strictly faithful adaptation like Jane Eyre.
