In 1965, a newly formed American air cavalry unit is sent into a dangerous Vietnamese valley for a major battle. Their commanding officer prepares his troops for overwhelming odds while families at home face the fear and uncertainty of wartime separation.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a patriotic, emotionally charged Vietnam War drama with graphic combat and family stakes; Not for you if you prefer subtle or less violent films like Platoon.
