The Blob

A gelatinous alien life form drops into a small town, and teenagers quickly realize they’re the first to witness what it does. As it grows by engulfing everything it touches, their warnings are doubted by adults, forcing them to protect their hometown with whatever proof and courage they can manage.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy The Blob if you want a fun, old-school sci-fi horror with strong camp energy and mounting dread; Not for you if you want modern realism or consistently believable thrills, and you may prefer It Came from Outer Space instead.
