Wormtown

A year into a plague of flesh-eating, mind-altering worms, a small Ohio town has fallen under a cult-like rule that spreads by persuasion or force. Three uninfected women try to stay alive through scavenging, strict hygiene, and staying out of sight, but the pressure of the new order pushes everyone toward desperate choices.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want grim small-town contagion horror with lots of gooey, parasite-driven gross-outs and cult pressure, like Cyst or Death Valley; Not for you if you need tight pacing or hate heavy gore.
