Blind Fury

A blind Vietnam veteran, trained as a skilled swordsman after being rescued overseas, returns to America seeking an old army friend. When criminals threaten the friend’s family, he becomes the unlikely protector of a young boy and faces a dangerous journey filled with action and humor.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like fast, humorous 1980s action with an unusual hero and plenty of swordplay; Not for you if you prefer realistic drama or understated storytelling.
