Heroes Of Shaolin, Part 1

A father is confronted by a past enemy, who demands a rematch. The man's son is horror-stricken as, after his father's defeat, the father takes his own life and the boy rushes to avenge his father. The challenger easily defeats the son, but rather than kill again, he allows the boy to journey with him, offering to teach the boy in martial arts so that he may one day take appropriate revenge. The boy trains under him; and eventually, the boy has his revenge but not in the way he intended.

My take

A martial arts journey steeped in revenge, loss, and unexpected mentorship. This 1977 classic trades easy answers for hard-won wisdom, following a boy's transformation under the man who defeated his father—a tale where violence becomes the language of healing.
