Where Eagles Dare

During World War II, an American general is held captive in a heavily guarded mountain castle. A small group of Allied operatives must infiltrate the stronghold, rescue him, and survive a dangerous mission where trust is uncertain and the odds are stacked against them.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like old-school war adventures, espionage, explosive action, and elaborate missions, especially films such as Kelly’s Heroes or The Guns of Navarone; Not for you if you need realism or brisk pacing.
