A logger builds a modest life in the forests of early 20th-century America, finding love and family while working far from home. As the country changes around him, he faces hardship and loss, and quietly searches for meaning in the life he has lived.
My takeYou may enjoy this if you’re drawn to gentle, reflective stories about love, loss, and a changing world; Not for you if you want brisk pacing, lots of dialogue, or a tightly plotted drama.
