The Many Saints of Newark

A teenager comes of age in Newark during the turbulent late 1960s and early 1970s, as racial tensions and rival gangsters reshape the city. Drawn to an admired uncle involved with the local crime family, he begins absorbing the influences that will shape his future.

My take

You may enjoy this if you value period crime dramas and connections to The Sopranos, but Not for you if you expect a focused origin story with deep character development and sustained tension.
