Paths of Glory

During World War I, a French regiment is ordered into a nearly impossible assault. When the attack fails, three soldiers are selected for court-martial, while their commanding officer tries to defend them against a military hierarchy more interested in blame, discipline, and reputation than fairness.

My take

You’ll like this if you prefer tense, thoughtful anti-war dramas and moral conflicts over battlefield spectacle; Not for you if you want fast action, uplifting themes, or straightforward heroics.
