Men Up

In 1994 Swansea, a group of ordinary middle-aged Welsh men join an unprecedented hospital trial for a drug that may change their lives. As friendships form, the experience brings private struggles, relationships, and difficult conversations into the open, balancing warmth and humor with a sensitive look at male vulnerability.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy warm, character-led British dramas with humor, heart, and a true-story foundation; Not for you if you want a fast, hard-edged medical thriller or a purely factual account.
