Audience

Set in a mobile surgical hospital during the Korean War, a team of doctors, nurses, administrators, and soldiers faces the strain of wartime medicine while trying to preserve their humor and humanity. Practical jokes, personal clashes, romance, and serious reflections on war help make life in the unit bearable.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this blend of irreverent comedy and emotional wartime drama if you appreciate Cheers or Hogan’s Heroes; Not for you if you want consistently light humor or modern sensibilities.
