Heidi

An eight-year-old orphan is sent to live with her mountain-dwelling grandfather, but is soon taken to Frankfurt to keep company with a wealthy family's sheltered daughter. Torn between city life and the Alps, she struggles to adapt while holding onto her longing for home and the simple happiness she found there.

My take

You’ll probably enjoy this if you want a wholesome, emotional family story with beautiful mountain scenery and a gentle pace; Not for you if you prefer fast action, complex plotting, or fully developed character arcs.
