Anne with an E
CriticsCritics: 71
AudienceAudience: 8.7
In the late 1890s, a fiercely imaginative 13-year-old orphan is mistakenly sent to live with an elderly woman and her aging brother. Facing prejudice, painful memories, and the challenges of fitting into a small community, she gradually brings new energy and perspective to her adoptive family and the world around them.
My takeYou’ll like this if you enjoy heartfelt period dramas, imaginative outsiders, and modern reimaginings such as Avonlea; Not for you if you want a gentle, closely faithful adaptation of the original story.
