A Better Tomorrow

A former gang member returns to Hong Kong after prison and tries to build an honest life while repairing his relationship with his estranged police-officer brother. But old loyalties, criminal connections, and a ruthless new gang leader make leaving the past behind increasingly difficult.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy emotionally charged crime dramas with loyalty, redemption, and stylized action, especially The Killer or Hard Boiled; Not for you if you prefer realism, brisk pacing, or restrained violence.
