The Towering Inferno

During a lavish opening celebration in a colossal skyscraper, a fire erupts and rapidly threatens everyone inside. As flames spread through the tower, an architect and a fire chief work under pressure to organize rescues and help trapped guests survive the escalating disaster.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want old-fashioned disaster spectacle, heroic rescues, and a huge ensemble cast; Not for you if you prefer concise stories, subtle drama, or the tighter pace of The Poseidon Adventure.
