The Martian

After a storm forces a Mars mission to evacuate, an astronaut is presumed dead and left behind. Alone with limited supplies, he must use his ingenuity, humor, and scientific knowledge to survive on the hostile planet while people on Earth work to find a way to bring him home.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy smart, funny survival adventures with suspense and science, especially films such as Gravity; Not for you if you want nonstop action or deeply unpredictable drama.
