The Aftermath

After World War II, a British military officer and his wife move into a requisitioned Hamburg home during the city’s reconstruction. Sharing the house with its German owner, they face grief, distrust, and growing emotional tensions as the fragile boundaries between former enemies begin to shift.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like restrained wartime romances such as The Exception, especially for its period atmosphere and themes of grief; Not for you if you need fast pacing or deeply developed characters.
