Pitch Black

After a spacecraft crash-lands on a remote, sun-scorched planet, a scattered group of survivors searches for water, supplies, and a way home. Their greatest threat emerges when a rare eclipse plunges the world into darkness, forcing them to rely on a dangerous escaped convict who can see what hunts in the night.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want a tense, character-focused blend of science fiction, horror, and survival adventure, especially if you like Alien³ or Predators; Not for you if dated effects and plot holes distract you.
