Pitch Black

After a spacecraft crashes on a remote, sun-scorched planet, its surviving passengers must find water, supplies, and a way home. Their greatest danger emerges when darkness arrives, unleashing deadly creatures that hunt by night and forcing the survivors to depend on a dangerous prisoner with unusual vision.

My take

You’ll probably enjoy this if you like tense sci-fi horror, dangerous creatures, and morally complicated survivors, especially in the vein of Alien³ or Pandorum; Not for you if dated effects and plot holes quickly undermine your interest.
