In 1970s Detroit, a Vietnam veteran falls for a gangster’s girlfriend, only to be imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. After losing his freedom and the life he hoped to build, he begins plotting an escape and a relentless path toward revenge.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy bold, nearly wordless revenge films with intense action and a 1970s atmosphere; Not for you if you prefer dialogue-driven stories or gentler drama.
