Maigret

A thoughtful French police commissioner investigates complex crimes in period Paris, relying on careful observation, psychological insight, and patient questioning. This adaptation follows his cases alongside his officers and supportive wife, blending cerebral mysteries with atmospheric settings and measured character drama.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy patient, atmospheric period mysteries and restrained detective dramas such as Agatha Christie's Poirot; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, lighter tones, or constantly escalating action.
