Magnolia

Over the course of one day in California’s San Fernando Valley, a group of seemingly unrelated people face family strain, personal regrets, illness, and difficult choices. Their lives gradually intersect, bringing together a dying father, a young wife, a devoted caretaker, a troubled daughter, a police officer, a gifted child, and others.

My take

You may enjoy this if you’re drawn to ambitious ensemble dramas, intertwined lives, and emotionally charged performances; Not for you if you prefer a brisk pace, a simple plot, or clear-cut resolutions.
