A Good Person

After her involvement in a fatal accident, a young woman struggles with guilt, grief, and prescription drug dependence. An unlikely connection with her former would-be father-in-law, an older recovering alcoholic, offers both of them a difficult path toward healing and a life worth living.

My take

You may appreciate this heavy, bittersweet drama if you value strong performances and stories about grief, addiction, and recovery; Not for you if you prefer subtle, unpredictable storytelling or lighter fare like Uncle Frank.
