A once-famous horror actor returns to his signature killer role after years away from the spotlight. When people connected to the new production begin dying in ways that echo his old films, he must confront suspicions that the fictional character—and perhaps his own troubled past—has become dangerously real.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like campy vintage horror, self-referential mysteries, and classic genre stars; Not for you if you want polished scares, tight plotting, or consistently serious tension.
