Edge of Tomorrow

A military officer with no combat experience is sent into a disastrous battle against invading aliens. After being killed, he wakes at the beginning of the same day and must relive the fight repeatedly, using what he learns each time to become a better soldier and find a way to save humanity.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want inventive science fiction, intense battles, humor, and a determined character arc, especially if you liked Source Code or Oblivion; Not for you if repeated-day stories or loose time-travel logic frustrate you.
