Death Race

In a near-future America overwhelmed by overcrowded prisons, inmates are forced to compete in a televised, heavily armed car race for the chance at freedom. A former driver enters the brutal contest and must survive deadly rivals, ruthless prison authorities, and a track built for destruction.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you want loud, violent action, armored cars, and straightforward thrills in the vein of The Running Man; Not for you if you prefer subtle stories, deep characters, or realism.
