Dances with Wolves

After a near-fatal experience during the Civil War, a soldier is assigned to an isolated frontier outpost. As he adjusts to the wilderness, he gradually forms an unexpected bond with a nearby Sioux community, confronting cultural differences, loneliness, friendship, romance, and the changing American frontier.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you appreciate spacious, emotionally rich Western epics such as Far and Away; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, concise storytelling, or constant action.
