Army of Darkness

A wisecracking department store clerk is thrown into the medieval past, where he becomes embroiled in a kingdom’s battle against an undead army. Armed with a shotgun, a chainsaw, and plenty of attitude, he must retrieve a powerful book while searching for a way home.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like goofy horror-comedies, medieval fantasy adventures, and quotable heroes; Not for you if you want sustained scares or the darker intensity of earlier Evil Dead films.
