Alien: Covenant

A colony ship crew abandons its planned route after discovering a seemingly habitable world. What appears to be an untouched paradise soon becomes a dark and dangerous place, forcing the crew to confront hostile life and unsettling questions about creation.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a polished blend of science fiction, horror, gore, and philosophical ideas; Not for you if you prefer subtle suspense, consistently smart characters, or the slow-burn dread of Alien.
