Critics

Audience

A child genius grows up in Texas, navigating family life and the challenges of being different. The series also gives his family room to shine, balancing his unusual way of seeing the world with the everyday ups and downs they face together.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like warm family comedies, an ensemble with room to shine, and humor alongside heartfelt moments; Not for you if you prefer consistently laugh-out-loud jokes or a show less connected to its predecessor.
