Wallander

In and around a seemingly quiet town in southern Sweden, a middle-aged inspector investigates a rising tide of violence. As the cases unfold, the work weighs on him and complicates his personal life, drawing the series into both crime-solving and the pressures facing an overburdened investigator.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like crime dramas that balance investigations with a troubled detective’s personal life, especially Inspector Lewis or Shetland; Not for you if you want fast-paced cases or consistently realistic plots.
