Trading Places

A wealthy, polished investor and a streetwise con artist have their lives abruptly switched as part of a cruel wager by two powerful millionaires. As one adapts to privilege and the other struggles with sudden hardship, their rivalry gradually becomes an unlikely partnership.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you like fast, irreverent 1980s comedies such as The Blues Brothers, but Not for you if dated stereotypes, broad farce, or uneven pacing quickly outweigh strong performances.
