King's Ransom

An arrogant businessman facing a costly divorce settlement decides to arrange his own kidnapping with help from his mistress and her brother. His plan becomes complicated when disgruntled employees and another would-be kidnapper pursue their own schemes, creating a chaotic battle over who has taken him.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a lightweight, chaotic slapstick comedy with competing kidnapping schemes, but Not for you if you prefer sharp writing, likable characters, or consistently strong laughs.
