The Six Triple Eight

During World War II, an all-Black, all-women Army battalion is sent overseas to tackle a massive backlog of undelivered mail. Facing harsh conditions, prejudice, and sexism, the women must organize millions of letters and packages while proving their unit can succeed.

My take

You’ll like this earnest historical drama if you enjoy stories of courage, perseverance, and overlooked wartime heroes, especially films such as Devotion or Selma; Not for you if you prefer subtle, tightly structured storytelling.
