The Orphanage

A woman returns with her family to the former orphanage where she grew up, hoping to reopen it as a home for children. When her young son begins communicating with an invisible friend, the old house’s unsettling past starts to intrude on their lives.

You’ll likely enjoy this if you prefer The Others-style supernatural mysteries, emotional tension, and gradual dread; Not for you if you want fast pacing, gore, or frequent jump scares.
