The North Star

The exploits of a Ukrainian farming collective overrun by the Nazi invasion. A group of young people, including Marina Pavlova and Damian Simonov, are on a walking holiday and separated from the farming village. However they manage to smuggle a wagon-load of guns into the occupied village and lead the uprising against the Nazis.

My take

A stirring wartime drama about ordinary people finding extraordinary courage. When a group of young Ukrainians discovers their village under Nazi occupation, they risk everything to smuggle weapons and spark a rebellion. Perfect for when you want inspiring stories of resistance and human resilience.
