The Longest Yard

A disgraced former football star is sent to a Texas prison, where the warden pressures him to help the guards’ team. He proposes a game against the inmates and takes the field with a mismatched group, who must prepare to face the guards amid intimidation and the warden’s attempts to control the outcome.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like rowdy comedies, underdog sports stories, and football with a prison setting; Not for you if crude humor or familiar remake plots aren’t your thing.
