The Hideous Bog Monster
A 2021 US cult horror film where an asylum escapee in a bog creature costume and a descendant of Dr. Frankenstein capture and experiment on residents of an Arkansas town. It draws inspiration from local Arkansas folklore and legend. The plot intertwines themes of mad science, supernatural, and religious elements.
My takeA delightfully unhinged cult horror film that leans into B-movie charm and regional folklore. Perfect for viewers who crave weird, campy scares with a mad scientist twist and don't take themselves too seriously.
