The Game

A retired detective, still shaken by a past case that slipped through his hands, tries to settle into quiet life when a charming new neighbour moves in. As doubts grow, he becomes convinced something is off, setting up a tense battle of suspicion, obsession, and mind games in an ordinary suburban street.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want a quick, suspenseful suburban thriller about suspicion and obsession, with strong performances and plenty of mind games; Not for you if you hate predictable plotting or shaky logic, and you prefer something like Smother.
