The Covenant

After an ambush in Afghanistan, a local interpreter risks everything to save a wounded American sergeant and return him to safety. When the interpreter and his family are left without the promised passage to America, the sergeant goes back into the war zone to repay his debt.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this gritty, emotional war thriller if you value tense action and stories of loyalty, but Not for you if predictable plots, slower stretches, or patriotic themes frustrate you.
