The Canterville Ghost

An unhappy teenager moves with her family into an old English manor, where strange events point to a ghost and a mysterious bloodstain. After meeting the troubled spirit and befriending a neighboring young nobleman, she tries to help break the curse keeping the ghost bound to the house.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like gentle supernatural family stories such as A Christmas Carol, but Not for you if you want sharp comedy, serious scares, or a closely faithful literary adaptation.
