A kind, lonely ghost haunts a mansion in Maine, where a paranormal specialist arrives hoping to communicate with the spirits. His teenage daughter comes along, and she and the ghost begin to form a bond, while the mansion’s mischievous ghosts and a treasure-seeking owner complicate their stay.

My take

You may enjoy this family-friendly mix of spooky comedy and tenderness, especially if you like playful adventures such as Hocus Pocus; Not for you if you want a tightly plotted or consistently serious story.
