The Artist

CriticsCritics: 92

In Hollywood in 1927, a celebrated silent-film star faces uncertainty as talking pictures begin transforming the industry. His connection with an ambitious young dancer brings warmth and complication as their careers move in different directions.

My take

You may enjoy this affectionate, mostly silent tribute if you like classic Hollywood, visual storytelling, and gentle romance; Not for you if you need frequent dialogue, modern pacing, or a highly original story.
