The American Scene

Running just until the end of the summer season of 1952, this show presented viewers each Sunday evening with a series of thirty-minute documentary films on a variety of subjects. Most of the shorts were semi-educational in nature, looking at some of the more interesting aspects of society.

A window into 1950s American life through bite-sized documentary shorts. Curious, accessible, and perfect for understanding how people lived and thought in a pivotal moment of history.
