The 39 Steps

After a mysterious woman is murdered in his home, an ordinary man is wrongly suspected and forced to flee. He travels toward the Scottish highlands, pursued by police and spies, while trying to uncover a dangerous conspiracy and clear his name, aided by a skeptical woman caught up in his escape.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like fast, witty thrillers that mix romance, comedy, and espionage, especially films such as Young and Innocent; Not for you if you need realism or deeply developed characters.
