Superman

A mild-mannered reporter at the Daily Planet hides extraordinary abilities while pursuing a romance with a fellow journalist. When a brilliant criminal sets a dangerous plan in motion, he embraces his heroic identity to protect the city and those around him.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you prefer hopeful, character-focused superhero adventures with charm and romance; Not for you if you want nonstop action, modern effects, or a darker tone like X-Men.
